Lake Bavaria
Welcome to the Lake Bavaria Page
Chevalle is a paying member of the Friends of Lake Bavaria Association (FLB).
FLB is an all-volunteer organization made up of homeowners who live around the lake. Although FLB has no regulatory or governing authority, they serve as an interested group who takes an active role in monitoring lake issues.

FLB Mission Statement
Friends of Lake Bavaria (FLB) mission statement: To preserve and improve the ecosystem of Lake Bavaria, including its shoreline, and any surrounding land area having a direct impact to the lake, and to promote recreational safety for the lake's patrons.  Learn more about FLB at www.friendsoflakebavaria.com.
FLB is actively involved with MN COLA, the state-wide coalition of lake associations that works to help protect and improve the waters in Minnesota.  MN COLA has now set its 2016 Legislative Agenda.  The agenda represents the things it would like to see the MN Legislature address this session.  There are 8 items that make up the agenda. The first 5 relate to aquatic invasive species (AIS), and the next 3 relate to improving our public waters in Minnesota. View the agenda here. If you would like to help with this initiative, FLB encourages homeowners to contact your legislative representative to discuss the topic; find your representative at www.gis.leg.mn/OpenLayers/districts.
Zebra Mussels
We recognize that most Chevalle homeowners do not have a boat on Lake Bavaria. However, if you do and you think you have found a zebra mussel on your boat, dock, ladder, kayak, etc., be sure to notify the FLB (tkraft@isd.net) and the DNR at 651-259-5100; learn more at the DNR's website.
As of September 2015, zebra mussels have not been found in Lake Bavaria.
